A car show, demonstrations, vendors, animal rescue groups, food and a celebrity guest are all on tap for this year's Parks and Pets Extravaganza! to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., Sept. 29 at Sherando Park. The event is hosted by the Esther Boyd Animal Shelter and Frederick County Parks and Recreation. Leashed and friendly pets are welcome. All proceeds from this event will support the care and maintenance of shelter animals.
