Childcare Demand
The demand for childcare slots exceeds supply, making it difficult for parents and families to find childcare. A 2023 study by the Virginia Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission shows a need for 30,000 more childcare spots in the Shenandoah Valley.
About the Seminar
This seminar seeks to bring together those already operating childcare businesses in the region that would consider expanding, individuals interested in starting a childcare business, and employers who would like to work with a childcare facility to provide options for its employees.
This meeting is free and will be held in-person at Laurel Ridge Community College, with a virtual Zoom option.
