Voter Registration Drive at James Wood High School
On Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at the Bowman Library, 871 Tasker Road (Route 642) in Stephens City, VA, Rick Miller, General Registrar of Voters for Frederick County and Diane Lockhart, Assistant Registrar of Voters for Frederick County will be holding a voter registration drive and have absentee ballot applications available to the general public. The two events will run from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm in the lobby of the library. This local event is part of the regional effort that General Registrars from many other Northern Virginia localities will be conducting on the same day.
New voters may complete, sign and date their Virginia voter registration applications, which will then be returned to the Registrar’s office, processed and voter cards will be mailed to all new voters with completed applications promptly. Currently registered voters, who have moved recently should also stop in and fill out a new voter registration application to update their voter information. These applications will also be processed and voter cards will be mailed as soon as possible.
Absentee Ballot applications will also be available for registered voters who cannot go the polls on Election Day. Voters must have a valid reason to vote absentee. Completed absentee ballot applications will be returned to the Registrar’s office, processed and the absentee ballot will be mailed.
