Frederick County strives to purchase goods and services in an open and fair manner to received the best value for money spent on behalf of its citizens.

Frederick County does not have a centralized purchasing department; however, the Finance Department assists the County in purchasing required goods and services in conformance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act and the Board of Supervisors Policies and Regulations.

Purchases in the amount of $100,000 or greater for goods and non-professional services, and $80,000 or greater for professional services require formal procurement through advertised sealed competitive bidding. The Finance Department issues Invitations for Bids (IFB) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).  Bid and proposal notices will be posted on eVA.  Award notices will be posted on eVA.
