Frederick County GIS is the addressing authority for the County. Structure addressing plays a very important role in the lives of Frederick County citizens. A structure address, consisting of a structure number and a road name, should be able to uniquely identify the location of any given structure within Frederick County. The first and foremost purpose for this addressing system is for Emergency First Responders to be able to quickly locate a structure in the event of an emergency.
