Camp basicREC is back again for 11 weeks of fun filled summer activities! Camp basicREC is conveniently located and is designed to keep your child involved in activities that go on throughout the day, all summer long. Summer days will be filled with special activities, events, group games, playground time, water play, organized sports and games, arts and crafts, swimming, field trips, and time to just relax! Included are weekly pool days (weather-permitting) at either Clearbrook or Sherando Park-- all campers will have their swimming skills assessed prior to being permitted to swim. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided, but you are welcome to bring these from home. Make sure that your camper is lathered in sun block daily before coming to camp and that they bring their water bottle, a non-perishable lunch which does not need preparation, towel, sneakers, swimsuit, spray sun block, water shoes, and a t-shirt. If you do not need all 11 weeks of CAMP basicREC, you can pick and pay as you go. Payment is due at time of registration. Space available until filled.

Is your little one excited to start kindergarten in the fall? Are you looking for a fun and engaging summer camp for them to attend? Why wait until it’s too late! Join us this summer to start the transition early. New for the summer of 2024, our preREC program will help transition them to full day kindergarten.  Participants must be potty trained 5 years old entering kindergarten for the fall 2024-2025 school year. Our program fosters a supportive environment for these young learners, emphasizing recreational activities and play. With a focus on local field trips, we aim to enhance their curiosity and social skills while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Additionally, scheduled pool days provide a refreshing blend of physical activity and water-based fun. This camp will be housed out of the First Presbyterian early learning center located on the walking mall in downtown Winchester. Parents will drop off and pick up at this location daily 9am-4pm.
