NOTE: Yard Waste is only collected at the Landfill Convenience Center.
Grass clippings, leaves, twigs, and brush should be recycled at the landfill's citizens' convenience center. Yard waste is not landfilled and is not accepted at the various drop-off sites. For easy off-loading at the landfill, yard debris should be bagged or contained in refuse cans whenever possible. All plastic bags must be separated from yard debris.
Residents are also encouraged to consider backyard composting. Composting is nature's way of recycling. Combining waste items such as fruit and vegetable peels, coffee grounds, egg shells and yard debris in an open pile or closed container yields a nutrient-rich soil amendment for gardens and flower beds.
