Road and Property Maintenance

An on-site manager and a maintenance staff provide upkeep for the roads and common properties (including street sign replacement and snow removal). If no one is available to take your call, please leave a message on the machine and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

About the Sanitary District

Frederick County's First Sanitary District was established by the Frederick County Court during the summer of 1987. The Code of Virginia provides for the establishment of sanitary districts within jurisdictional boundaries of local governments to collect from property owners therein a special assessment (sanitary district fees) to pay for needed improvements. These fees are billed semi-annually and are due on June 5 and December 5 of each year and payable to the Treasurer of Frederick County. All money collected from the sanitary district fees is used for the benefit of the Shawneeland property owners.
