Registration on the eVA web site is step one in doing business with Frederick County and over 740 other local governments and state agencies in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Registration with eVA is required to be awarded a contract with Frederick County. Vendors can search for current solicitations in eVA without being registered.
Frederick County uses eVA, the Commonwealth of Virginia's electronic procurement portal for the following:
- Prepare bidders lists for formal solicitations;
- Distribute notices of formal and informal solicitations; and
- Publish Invitation for Bids (IFB) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).

State agencies, colleges, universities and many local governments use eVA to announce bid opportunities, invite bidders, receive quotes, and place orders for goods and services.
